Common questions

Do attendees need to create an account?

No. Gathrd offers guest checkout for free and paid events. Attendees only need to create an account if they want to save events or view their booking history. We believe in zero friction for your congregation.

When do we get paid?

Payouts are processed weekly for Church tier and above. Revenue from paid ticket sales lands in your linked bank account every Monday, minus the 3% platform fee. Community (free) tier organisers don't handle paid tickets.

What happens with Gift Aid?

When an attendee checks the Gift Aid declaration at checkout, Gathrd stores the declaration securely and attributes it to the event. At any time, your dashboard lets you export an R68-ready report to submit to HMRC for the 25% gift tax reclaim. We do not submit to HMRC on your behalf - you retain full control.

Can we list free events on any tier?

Yes. Listing free events and registering attendees for free events is always free - even on the Community tier. The 3% platform fee only applies to paid ticket transactions. Free events cost nothing to run on Gathrd.

What's the difference between Gathrd and ChurchSuite?

ChurchSuite is an internal church management system - it manages your congregation, rotas, groups, and giving. Gathrd is a public-facing event discovery and ticketing platform. They're complementary tools: use ChurchSuite to manage your people, use Gathrd to get new people through the door. Our Ekklesia integration (coming soon) will let you sync events between both platforms automatically.
